There are several styles to choose from for binding and many different paper and material options.
The most popular style is a separate front and back cover that is usually thicker than the inner book block pages. Another option is to have a clear acetate sheet in front of the cover, providing extra protection to the cover.
There are also options to have covers that do not show the wire, giving the appearance of a conventional book. These styles are called Half Canadian or concealed.
One other choice is to have a half moon thumb cut and a hanging wire inserted in the wire, this is used mainly for wall calendars.
